SIL'2026 Call for Papers

The 9th Edition of International Conference on Industrial and Logistics Systems (SIL'2026)

Under the theme:

“Intelligent and Sustainable Pharma–Hospital Supply Chains: An End-to-End Approach from Pill to Patient”

October 19-21, 2026
ENSA, El Jadida-Morocco

đź“‹ General Scope of SIL Conference

SIL is a multidisciplinary scientific event that brings together researchers, academics, and industry professionals with shared interests in Industrial and Logistics Engineering. The conference aims to foster high-level scientific exchange on the modeling, optimization, enhancement, reengineering, and performance assessment of industrial and logistics systems across a wide range of application domains.

SIL emphasizes four complementary and interrelated perspectives of industrial and logistics systems—operational, informational, technological, and decision-making—progressively supported by emerging digital and Industry 4.0 technologies to enable intelligent, data-driven, and sustainable industrial and logistics systems.

🎯 About SIL'26

SIL'26 places particular emphasis on intelligent and sustainable pharma–hospital supply chains, adopting an end-to-end approach from pill to patient.

This edition explores the integration of advanced technologies and sustainable practices across the entire pharmaceutical supply chain, from manufacturers to patients. It emphasizes the use of intelligent solutions, such as artificial intelligence, IoT, and digital twins, to enhance forecasting, inventory management, and real-time monitoring in hospitals. The session also highlights sustainability strategies, including waste reduction, energy-efficient logistics, and eco-friendly distribution practices, ensuring that pharmaceutical delivery is both efficient and environmentally responsible.

By adopting an end-to-end perspective, this approach seeks to improve resilience, efficiency, and patient outcomes, while enabling data-driven decision-making and fostering collaboration between manufacturers, distributors, and healthcare providers.

đź“„ Publications

SIL'26 offers two options for paper submissions and publications at the same registration rate:

  • 1) Full Papers — Full papers are blind reviewed for presentation at the conference as well as for publication in the conference proceedings. Full papers should have a maximum length of 12 pages (including references and appendices, if any) and must follow the Springer formatting guidelines. Only PDF files will be accepted for the review process.
  • 2) Abstracts Only — Between 200 and 300 words, will be reviewed for presentation at the conference without publishing in the conference proceedings.

All submissions must be done through EasyChair. Authors are invited to submit original articles to SIL'26 that are not under review for any other conference or journal at the same time. All submissions should be written in English.

Submission via the EasyChair platform: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=sil26

SIL'26 proceedings will be published and indexed in Springer with a dedicated DOI for the proceedings. Only accepted and presented full papers will be included in the SIL'26 proceedings. Accepted abstracts will only be included in the program schedule. In both cases, at least one author must be registered by the early bird registration deadline.

A selection among presented full papers will be invited to submit an extended version in a special issue of SPRINGER Computational and Applied Mathematics (ISSN 2238-3603). Some other special issues will be organized and announced on the conference webpage later on.
